Performance Reviews
Reviews exist to make work better and pathways real — not to ambush anyone. Expectations are set at the start of a period; the review measures against exactly those expectations, in writing.
Interns
- Cadence: a mid-term review and an end-of-term review across the six-month internship, plus continuous feedback in code review and sprints.
- Evaluated on: quality of shipped work and attention to detail, timeliness against sprint commitments, collaboration and communication, initiative and growth — the ACE values, made measurable.
- What it feeds: the end-of-term review is the record that carries an intern forward — into a renewed term, a recommendation through CueHIRE™, or a clean, referenced exit. A public commit history plus a written review is a strong portfolio; neither is a promise of employment.
- Reviewers: the supervising founder (or designated lead) runs the review, gathers peer input where the work was collaborative, shares it in writing, and hears the intern's own reflection before it is filed.
Contractors — milestone acceptance, not reviews
Contractors are independent professionals, so there is no performance review; there is acceptance of deliverables against the signed agreement. At each milestone and at engagement end, the engagement lead records in writing whether the deliverable met the agreed scope, timeline and handover quality. That record feeds renewal, extension or expansion of engagements — based on delivered value, never favouritism.
