Onboarding and Offboarding
Onboarding
Nothing starts before the agreement: sign your Independent Contractor or Internship Agreement first, counter-signed by a founder. Then, in order:
- Email group. You are added to the relevant
@cuesoft.iogroup for your engagement; formal and sensitive correspondence lives on email. - Your channel. Contractors join Slack; CueLABS™ interns join the Discord community. Set your real name and a recognisable photo, and join the channels for your team and project.
- GitHub. Send your username to the CTO to be added to the cuesoftinc organisation with the access your work needs — least privilege, per the cybersecurity policy.
- Project tracker. Client work lives on Linear (CueHIRE™); the open-source products live on GitHub Projects (CueLABS™). You will be invited to the tracker your work uses (see project management).
- Read the handbook — particularly values, your engagement page (contractors or internships), and the policies.
Never send anyone your password for any service — no legitimate Cuesoft process asks for one.
Offboarding
When an engagement ends (completion, expiry or termination):
- Access is revoked the same day: email group, Slack or Discord, Linear, GitHub, cloud consoles and any client systems.
- All work product, documentation and company materials are handed over before the final milestone is closed out.
- Company property, where issued, is returned per your agreement.
- Confidentiality and IP assignment survive the engagement — leaving does not end them.
