CueLABS™ Internships

CueLABS™ interns ship production code to live, MIT-licensed products — Apparule, Expendit and Upstat — under the published engineering standard, with a supervisor and a real review bar. The git log is the CV. Each internship runs under a signed Internship Agreement; this page summarises it, the agreement governs.

The shape of an internship

Role-based. Interns are engaged into a specific role (for example Backend Engineer) with defined duties: shipping features, reviewing code, collaborating across the team, documenting, and working agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups).
Three or six months. Internships run for a three (3) or six (6) month term from the commencement date, whichever the agreement states, ending automatically at term unless renewed.
Unpaid, data covered. Internships are unpaid — no salary, wages or hourly compensation — and create no employment relationship. Cuesoft provides a monthly data allowance of ₦20,000 to cover internet costs for remote work throughout the internship.
On Discord. Intern day-to-day happens in the CueLABS™ Discord community — standup updates, cohort coordination and collaboration.
Supervised. Every intern works under a designated supervisor, with feedback through reviews and the cadence in performance reviews.

Obligations that come with it

Confidentiality (NDA). The agreement carries a full NDA over source code, business plans, client information and everything else non-public. It survives the internship. See confidentiality.
Intellectual property. Work product created during the internship is assigned to Cuesoft. For the open-source products, Cuesoft publishes that work under MIT — which is how interns end up with a public, attributable commit history under their own GitHub identity. See intellectual property.
Ending it. Either side may end the internship with seven (7) days' written notice. On exit, return company property and cease using company-provided access and credentials.

After the internship

The pathway — learn at CueTA™, build at CueLABS™, go forward through CueHIRE™ — is real, and interns with strong records are recommended into client engagements. Nothing here promises employment, a placement or a salary; the record speaks and clients decide.
